In-conversation with Abhinandan Jindal
What has been your career highlight so far?
For me as an actor my first priority
is to be honest with my character n justify it which i have been trying to do
from my very first project… like “Diya aur Baati hum”, “Savdhan India”, few TV
commercials... got selected and did pilots back to back for two big finite TV
shows but unfortunately never started, was really disappointing for me as an
aspiring actor but made me more stronger and that was the moment when I transformed
myself into an actor, however my current role of “Rohan” as one of the leads in
“Sasural Simar Ka” is really appreciated by people and would definitely want Rohan
to keep ruling the hearts of millions and millions of people forever.
Who is your favourite actor?
For me there is no difference between
a hero of the film or a character artist of the film... all actors have their
own range and charisma... I fall in love with the characters, story like the
character of a coach played by Randeep Hooda in Sultan was really intense... though
it was a cameo left a mark, Bajirao played by Ranveer Singh in Bajirao Mastani,
character of an elder brother played by Raj Babbar sir in Ghayal was really
touchy… Salman khan in Bajrangi Bhaijaan was a treat to watch… Nana Patekar ji
in Pratigya… Ranbir Kapoor in Tamasha and Rockstar… Aamir Khan in Lagaan... Irrfan
Khan and Nawazzudin in Lunch Box. But most of all I am a huge fan of Dharmendra
sir and will always be haha.
What you like to do in free time?
Sleep, watch movies, read books, meeting
and observing unique characters, responding to my fans, and yes if I get of two
or three days off from my shooting schedule I fly to Chandigarh and spend time
with family and close friends.
What is your advice to Newcomers?
Be honest to yourself… accept your
mistakes... most importantly enjoy your work… Don’t take failures to your heart
and don’t let success get to your head... Thank LORD for it. Success is waiting
for you. Don’t think about the don’ts, think about the do’s. Be a traveller who might stop, might walk
slowly but will never go back and will get determined day by day which has been
my life ever since I entered Mumbai... make each and every day count.
Learning acting and working on your craft is never ending...
but going out daily for work and facing rejections most of the times not even
being auditioned… and still going out daily with the same enthusiasm that makes
you an actor itself… Nobody will walk for you it's only you who has to walk
throughout. I had nobody in Mumbai and now I probably have few if not many.
