Short video formats apps market flooded with new apps after tiktok, Even you tube also started with short video. Do we really have market for these apps ?

We all are in this lockdown since months. We cannot manage to go out for a change, or for entertainment, in this time of pandemic, all we can get our entertainment from is the internet. We can get ourselves entertained through these digital platforms only. Sitting at home, the only thing that worked out to break our boredom was the 'Internet'. Lots and lots of people got stuck on several social medias, and apart from this most of us moved to 'Tiktok', an application that actually provides us our space and allows us to make videos on whatever our feel is and share it with people. Additionally, it also enhances the hidden talent among us.

Tiktok made amazingly good market with it's users, as, it was used by millions of users, people from everywhere used tiktok for their entertainment, or fun. Tiktok eventually managed to create a strong market among the online applications. Heartbreaking for some, but Tiktok had to say Goodbye to India a month ago. Tiktok has now been banned in India, along with many other Chinese applications.

But, ever since the Indian government has decided to ban Tiktok in the Country, several other short video sharing platforms are rising to popularity. Some were already there, and the others are now on launch. Even with these applications, the big social media giants like Facebook, Youtube and Instagram have also came up with short video formats. Instagram launched it's 'Reels' feature after the banning of Tiktok, facebook also launched some short video feature within its main application. Now, we can add or simply enjoy some short videos in our newsfeed of the main Facebook application.

It is followed, that 'Adaptation is required in the market to grow.' So, following this global digital trend, Youtube also launched 'Shorts' feature in it's application. Earlier, we could only make a video and then upload it to our Youtube channel, but now with this Shorts feature we can even directly record a clip of 15 seconds and upload it to youtube. With this feature, the users cannot upload a video longer than 15 seconds.

Looking at the speed of launching of these short video formats on digital media, we think that, the market is now going to get flooded with these short video applications. They are going to give huge profits to the application makers, as these applications actually provides us our own space and we can really be what we are. Recording a 15 seconds clip is far easier than a complete video of 5 to 6 minutes. Additionally, watching short clips of different genre is even more entertaining than giving longer time to a video of a particular genre. With all these points, we can say that short video formats can build a good market in India.
