Creating Cleanliness Inside And Out

Creating Cleanliness Inside And Out

I want to start with a short incident when I was traveling to a hill station with my family. There was a famous sunset point at that place we reached there to enjoy the beautiful view of the sunset. I chose to sit on a bench quietly to feel the view. I saw a family in which there were two kids and their parents. One of the kids was eating some wafers from a packet, and the other one was sipping juice from a plastic bottle. As they finished eating and drinking they threw the packet and bottle there. And their parents allow them to do that. I did not still come out from that scene...Suddenly I saw a very good-looking guy wearing neat and clean clothes seems like he was from a good and well-civilized background. He was drinking water from his bottle and threw it there. I wondered how I can consider him to be a civilized person if he doesn't know basic habits. Wearing good clothes keeping yourself neat and clean doesn't make you civilized. How you treat your surroundings and your environment makes you a civilized person.

And the tragic irony is that In India the more beautiful a particular part of the country is, the filthier it becomes. As it has so many visitors who think nothing of turning the beauty spot into a refuse heap,

We need to stop complaining and start doing.
When people visit any country, the first thing they notice is how clean the country is. How much clean is it’s roads and public places? Western countries are likely to give more importance to cleanliness. If you visit any western country you will find clean roads, clean places... everything neat and clean. It is not because of the government actions but also the people who take part in that.

We always keep on complaining that India is so filthy and foreign countries are so beautiful. But we have forgotten that we ourselves made the condition of our country like this. Those foreign countries are beautiful and clean because each and every citizen takes part in to keep it clean and they consider it their responsibility,. Which is missing in India.

A clean and healthy life helps in refining the culture of a society. If India wants to progress towards becoming a developed country, it must keep its country cleaned. Why, because a clean country attracts and retains development and progress. Go to any developed countries the first impression comes is how clear it is and how well everything is maintained and how much importance is given to cleanliness.

What India needs to become a clean country.

What is needed in India is a Japanese-style attitude towards cleanliness where everyone, no matter their social status, learns that it is his or her duty to clean shared spaces, and this should be taught from primary school. In our Indian society cleaning is considered to be the occupation of a particular community of people i.e. lower casts. Nobody else does the necessary cleaning, and filth accumulates. Thus, it is important to show people that anyone can perform this labor without losing dignity. Thus, it is a great thing that Modi is sending this message to the people of India. It has both a practical component (actually cleaning) as well as a psychological component, both of which are necessary for India to become clean. Because cleaning should from inside only then they will be able to perform external cleaning.
