What left behind the tide of saffron-clad yatris: Clogging roads and garbage

The auspicious Hindu month of Shravan brings Kanwar yatra, an annual pilgrimage of lord shiva devotees.

With every year Kanwar Yatra Kanwariya hooliganism makes people uncomfortable. A group of saffron-clad men, dancing to the tune of remixed Bollywood numbers at high volume even past midnight, have drawn the ire of people who consider it to be noise pollution in the name of religious processions.

This common sight every night, which starts from the month of July, is the Kanwar season. It ends up creating a nuisance for commuters as well as residents.

Religion is about spreading peace, not an unrest atmosphere

Spreading anarchy in the name of religion, spreading unrest is not promoting religion. More than half of the Kanwar Yatris are the people who just go to spread unrest. They have no meaning with religion. It is wrong to show your reverence to God by harassing other people. Playing music in a loud voice, making noise is not the way to show your devotion to god.. Religion means creating an atmosphere of peace rather than creating such a turbulent atmosphere.

Heavy Traffic jam due to the movement of kanwariyas is the biggest problem

It is not just the music that is a problem, but also pollution and traffic. Since the trucks and tempos they travel in are driven at a slow pace, commuters find it difficult to make their own way through it. and on the other hand, there are other categories of yatris who travel on their bike riding at high speed. Do no traffic rules apply to the Kanwar boys riding the bikes at 70 or 80 kmph without helmets through traffic? They seem less interested in the spiritual purpose of this journey more in creating chaos. Such massive destruction of rules and laws...why the government is not questioning them..??

It is true that the reverence they have for their own religion cannot be stopped, but traffic safety also applies to them. This is also a threat to their own safety and also for the other people.

Murdering thought of 'Swachh Bharat'

Every year large pandals are decorated for the yatris, there is nothing wrong in that. But after the journey, leaving behind a heap of waste and garbage is not right, it is unpleasant for both visitors and residents. When we dream of a clean India, such big negligence does not question our thinking ??? Why the government does not make enough arrangements to avoid such a problem ???

The problem is old..but the government does not have any solution yet.
